G'day! How are you all? Mails are always welcomed! ..But yeah i have to admit that i may have lost track with all the mails and to whom i'm supposed to answer so from now on i promise to keep up a bit more! God it's hot here right now! All the time actually. Last weekend over 40! But this is how i imagined australia to be so it's quite ok, i was prepared. But i just try to stay away from the beach  most times, you usually just end up getting sunburnt or at least having a horrible headache afterwards. During these past few weeks there has been nothing special, really - work, partying, watching tv, sun....

But last week i was a bit more active, i did something every day! I went to the museum of contemporary art, the aquarium, there were a few goodbye parties, got tickets for a show in the opera house... Ok first of all i have to tell you the reason for having done so many touristy things: i'm gonna leave sydney in some two weeks' time! I feel so sad, i still just love this city, but it's time to move on. I really know this city well already, i've seen most places on my guidebook and it would be so easy just to get stuck here and stay forever but australia isn't just all about sydney and the harbour and bondi and the opera house! I have about five months left down under and there are so many places i want to see and things i want to do! So next week's gonna be my last at work and then it's time to head up north, somewhere around brisbane and try some fruit picking! It's gonna be hard as hell, really! It can be over 40 degrees and the days are long and i'm not physically the strongest person on earth but i'm prepared and i've decided that that's a thing i just have to do and survive with. That's it.

At work we're living interesting times - the slovakian head waitress, veronika, left back home and now i'm working just with 8 guys! And i tell you, it can be very... hmm... interesting indeed.  For example yesterday i came to work and before even having said good morning our brazilian barista asked me "what's wrong today!?" When i wondered the reason  for his question he just said "oh, your hair -it looks like shit today! why did you do that?? it was a lot better before but now.. it looks like ... like... corn! you think it's nice but it isn't, believe me!" Don't worry, i didn't get offended cause he's just such a funny guy and i know he was joking all the time but my point is that you never know what to expect! Yeah and you can imagine the jokes are all about a few well selected topics! But it's lots of fun, though, so i don't mind.

Ok now it's time to put some more pictures here, i'll tell more news again at least when it's time to leave towards my new adventures in queensland! Take care!

my dear flatmates, don't pay any attention to my typical let's-take-photos-face! It shouldn't be that hard for god's sake!

on saturday we went to a show at the opera house. We had to get up really early with hilke and go to the city to queue up for cheaper tickets (before $80, now 25!) for over three hours! We were supposed to get tickets for the four of us to see a show of a group called stomp at 8pm, but just as there were only three people ahead of us the tickets got sold out and we started to panic! Finally we got to a solution which was to buy the two of us tickets to see stomp at 2pm and tickets for the night for the girls, to a really interesting modern japanese warrior dance ghost story performance... I know, it's not really the same thing but at least they got in to the opera house as well!! Hmm we didn't even dare to tell the others how really great it really was, another experience i'll never ever forget! And their show.... apparently it was hmm yeah, interesting!

the ceiling was really amazing! i was surprised how much wood they had used, but i guess it's quite normal as the architect was from denmark. Real scandinavian design!

a scary shark... it came so close, it seemed to really want to eat us! But thank god for the glass between us! by the way there have been really many shark alerts on bondi beach lately, they have even tried to shoot them on the water!  hmm no more swimming for me!
