Ciao, ciao!

Just an update again... So it was friday when i wrote the last time, right? Ok so that night i went out with a swedish, an american and a finnish girl. We went just downstairs of my hostel and the bar's actually quite nice and full of people. And it's so easy to talk to the people! People seem to have a  totally different state of mind here -i could even consider going out just by myself! Yeah at first i felt a bit tired but then eventually it was just so nice to dance and all so i stayed till 5 in the morning!

Saturday i decided to walk to the harbour to see the opera house and feel the scent of the ocean a bit. It is so nice, there! There are lots of street performers and it's so beautiful and i  spent lots of time just watching the people passing by. By the way i just noticed that when you walk for example down the main street of sydney at least 60% of all the people you see ar clearly backpackers and the rest asian tourists. No one really seems to be a local here. And in general the amount of asian people...... impressing! Ok but anyway, back to the harbour. The weather was nice, too, and it felt so good to be there! When i was walking there there was somebody who asked for directions and i helped him and i found out that he is from colombia/half australian and had actually spent 3 months in finland, just travelling around the country. He has probably seen more of my country than i! It was so nice to get to know all of his adventures there so that we just continued to walk and walk and walk. And eventually we even crossed the harbour bridge and took a look on the amusement park i would like to work in. Not bad, and the view.... Sydney at night! the sea, the scyscrapers, the opera house and the stars! Nice.

On sunday i did hardly anything, it rained and i just slept -finally! But then the evening my room mates decided to have a small party in our room so that became the plan for the evening! And although i felt a bit tired and wasn't really in a party mood i went downstairs with them to have a beer. At first it was a bit weird -they have spent a lot of time together and seem all like best friends. And almost everybody's british and when they get drunk it really means partypartparty! So i got this really nerdy feeling if you know what i mean... didn't wear almost any make up at all and wasn't drunk and didn't know them... But it turned out to be ok. That's the thing here: it's easy to talk to the people and they come to talk to you and you can go out with them and hang out, but cause everybody's moving all of the time and travelling and wanting to see new things, it's more difficult to stay in touch and really get connected. But at least for now it's ok -you never have to stay alone if you don't want to!

I just got myself an australian number and found out that tomorrow there's a free orientation for the new, so i think i'm gonna check it out. They'll tell everything about the tax things, bank accounts and getting jobs and accommodation. I have checked out some job announces but i think i just apply first for the amusement park as soon as i've gotten my address and number and tax number and all, and if that doesn't work out i'll try to find something else. We'll see. It's so nice not to have any big plans for the next few months -it's the same for everybody i've met, really.

Ok but now i feel hungry and will eat something and a bit later there's apparently a concert of the aboriginals, or you can play the didgeridoo or something, and i'm going to check it out. Yeah, basically that's all for now. Hope to hear from you soon! Bye!!
